The only film festival with closing ceremonies that take place in a Bumper Car emporium, the Coney Island Film Festival features films from around the world with a stunning array of high and low-brow fare, as diverse as the neighborhood it represents. Subjects range from the profound to the profane, showcasing the independent spirit and irreverent nature of the one and only Coney Island.
In 2008, the Film Festival features the Wonder Wheel, with the famous Tillie face and the silhouette of the world famous Parachute Jump, as imagined by artist Toni-Lee Sangastiano.
