Lone/Coney Island Spiritual, a print from Philomena Marano's Coney Island Series, "American-Dream-Land." Prints are 8 1/2" x 11" quality color laser copy reproductions of full size original papier colle works. All prints are packaged with cardboard backing and plastic sleeve for protection. Philomena Marano is a New York City based artist who grew up in Brooklyn, spending endless summers at Coney Island. She graduated from the High School of the Art and Design and received a BFA from the Pratt Institute. She worked as a studio assistant to noted POP artist Robert Indiana and created cut paper maquettes for a special Bicentennial project. She was one of the co-founders of the Coney Island Hysterical Society in 1981. Marano's bold graphic style has crossed over into a number of venues, including, theatre, film, broadcast graphics, illustration, murals and childrens' projects. Her work is included in the collections of the Museum of the City of New York, the Brooklyn Historical Society, the Chase Manhattan Bank, and numerous corporate and private collections.
